Elon Musk predicts a future where AI surpasses human intelligence, humanoid robots number in the billions, and the economy enters an age of unprecedented abundance. But will AI create a better world, or leave millions searching for purpose? Kimmer explores the promise, the fears, and the biggest question of all: who will control the technology?
The future, he says, is going to be very, very different from the past. There’s no analogy or metaphor that illustrates the magnitude of change we’re going to experience. Elon Musk said, one, he believes within a few years, artificial intelligence will exceed human intelligence.
And he said there could be as many as one billion humanoid robots, an AI-fueled age of abundance, making cash meaningless. There really won’t be anything AI won’t be able to do better than humans, other than being a human. He said, I think AI may exceed the sum of human intelligence in about five years.
