FALCONS RISE UP & FLY TO THE SUPER BOWL

Now that was fun! Matt Ryan carved those dudes up! The Packers were simply never in this NFC Championship Game. Blowout! And somewhere, Aaron Rodgers is still complaining about getting hit. What an awesome game!

Obviously, the Falcons didn’t waste any time putting this game away. Coach Shanahan and Matt executed brilliantly early, which resulted in the fast start they were looking for.

The big key to the fast start was 3rd down & long success. Typically, these situations are a huge challenge for any offense, against top competition. On the game-opening, 13-play, 80-yard touchdown drive Matty Ice converted twice on 3rd and long. Add it all up in the first half and the Falcons Offense was 5-7 in 3rd down and long situations. The result: a 24-0 halftime lead.

Julio Jones was nothing short of All-World, even with an injured big toe. He simply torched the Green Bay secondary, finishing with 9 catches, 180 yards and 2 touchdowns. The TD catch to end the first half put his amazing footwork on display. The catch and sprint touchdown to start the 2nd half raised the Georgia Dome roof and showed off his explosive skill set. Julio dominated!

Matt and Julio were amazing. Can we now put to rest the idea that Matt Ryan can’t play big in playoff games? And can we now end the discussion on the Julio draft day trade being a bad one? These two have delivered a Super Bowl to the fans of Atlanta!

I must admit, it was also fun seeing the Falcons defense Rise Up and lay the hammer down on Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers got hit a lot! And he was whining and crying about every blow. Dude didn’t even finish the game.
