TIME TO “GO GET ’EM BRAVES”!

The MLB trade frenzy is about to get underway and I sure hope Coppy & John Hart are ready to do some business! Now could be the right time to give the organization a boost.

The Braves have an assortment of assets to trade.

In fact, I’d be willing to listen to offers on everyone, except Freddie Freeman. Not saying I want to get rid of Ender or Dansby… but wouldn’t you at least listen?

The Braves are in the middle of the pack in the 15-team National League, which is better than being at the bottom. However, the Braves are focused on returning to the top. Keep that in mind, when you start thinking about competing for one of those N.L. Wild Card spots this season. An impact trade could jump start a run of competing for the division title and more.

The Braves starting rotation of Teheran, Foltynewicz and Newcomb would look a lot tougher, if we added a top of the rotation talent to the mix. We need to add Sonny Gray, Chris Archer, Jose Quintana, Marcus Stroman or Gerrit Cole type performer, in order to take the next step up. That’s got to be priority #1.

Some tough decisions have to be made with the middle infield too. Is Swanson the shortstop of the future? Is the Albies Plan giving him a shot next season? And what about Camargo’s role moving forward? Where does he fit? Sure like his athleticism! The brass has to clear the log jam or package someone in a trade.

Keep an eye on the progress of Ronald Acuna, who could be in the Braves outfield as soon as next season. So, do they open up one of those corner outfield spots, by dealing Kemp or Markakis? Acuna has enjoyed a breakout season and has the look of a 5-tool player.

I sure like the position the Braves are in right now. They have the vets and the prospects to package up and make a bold move. This should be good. Can’t hardly wait for the dealing to go down!
