Karol Markowicz, columnist for the New York Post & FoxNews.com talked with Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson about her decision to move her family out of New York City because of rising crime and strict covid rules.

Markowicz explained her decision to leave the big apple saying,

So I was born in the Soviet Union, and I moved to Brooklyn when I was a little under two years old. My husband has a very similar story. He’s from Israel. He moved to queens when he was five. So we have very parallel immigrant stories where we grew up in the boroughs of New York City and we never wanted to leave. I’ve lived in some other places temporarily. I’ve lived in D.C. for a little while. I’ve been outside Atlanta a little. Spent a little time in Colorado, Scotland, but I always New York City was what I always knew I’d come back to and I used to have. Like this joke where, you know, it’s like, I’m not worried about my kids growing up and moving away because I live in the greatest city in the world. Why would they want to go anywhere else? And I really believed it. I was such a, you know, I jokingly refer to myself as a New York supremacist. There’s no better city. I still believe that it’s just been carefully destroyed by bad forces, and I can’t stay here and raise my kids here. And that’s really what the bottom line is. I think if it were just my husband and me, we might put up with it for maybe a little while longer. But I have to get my kids out and I have to get them out now.
