ATLANTA – The democrats just signed a “CHIPS” bill into law that incentivizes computer chip companies to move their manufacturing facilities to the United States. The main mechanism for making this happen is by granting these giant, multi-national corporations tax breaks and exemptions.
That just leaves me with two observations:
1) I guess when it makes them look good, democrats are ok with multinational corporations “not paying their fair share of taxes”.
2) There’s about a 99% certainty these same democrats will be accusing the computer chip corporations of “not paying their fair share of taxes” at some point in the future.
The Biden administration is planning to hire up to 87,000 new IRS employees and their plan is to increase the overall number of audits in order to maximize government revenues.
They’re justifying this hiring spree as a means of pulling as much revenue as possible out of the “wealthy”. However, nearly doubling the number of IRS employees seems hardly necessary to go after such a small sliver of rich taxpayers.
This Biden administration plan is an exercise in “hiring overkill”. The sheer number of people they intend to put to work far exceeds what the task would require.
Consider this:
The public hears nothing but excuse after excuse from Biden administration officials and democrat politicians explaining why the government cannot process the massive number of people entering the United States from the southern border. Since they don’t have enough employees to process the mountain of immigration forms, the current solution is to turn illegal immigrants loose in random parts of the country and hope they show up years later for an immigration hearing.
Wouldn’t it make more sense for the federal government to hire 87,000 Immigration and Naturalization Department employees to process the flood of immigrants at the border? That way we’d know who is entering the country and the suffering at the southern border could be alleviated.
But in typical fashion, the government under democrat control puts a priority on picking the American public’s pocket over a safe and secure immigration system.
The CDC has relaxed its COVID protocols and now says that social distancing is no longer necessary, kids should stay in schools, and quarantining is no longer necessary after exposure.
It only took the feds 2½ years to catch up to Florida. Not bad.
In my opinion, the FBI raiding Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida is the democrats’ way to send two significant political messages.
The first is being sent to Trump. The democrat career politicians and bureaucrats executed this raid on Mar-a-Lago as an intimidation tactic with the goal of making Trump drop a Presidential reelection run.
The democrats are showing Trump that they control the mechanisms of law enforcement. They are making it clear that no matter where he goes or what he does, they will make his life a marathon hell-ride of continued raids, investigations, and legal system nightmares.
The second reason the FBI raid in Mar-a-Lago was carried out was to send the same message to Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida. They’re letting him know they can do anything they want in HIS state.
Prediction: This will backfire spectacularly. Neither Trump nor DeSantis has ever shown any signs of acquiescing to democrat fear tactics.
Rumor has it Trump and DeSantis both sprinkle THAT on their Corn Flakes for breakfast.
The leftist media are at it again! Many are trying to redefine the predawn FBI Raid on President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home as the “execution of a search warrant”.
These are the same people attempting to redefine a riot scene with burning buildings as a “mostly peaceful protest”, the January 6th D.C. riot as an “insurrection”, how we define a “national economic recession”, and more.
Captain Obvious would note that the left’s constant “revision” of established terms is the very definition of Orwellian.
Which leaves me wondering what the over /under is on how long it takes for the left to redefine the term “Orwellian”.
