Xtra 1063 (WFOM), Atlanta’s premiere News Talk Station, is looking for an experienced sales professional to join our championship team. The station is poised for explosive growth with a continually expanding line-up of top Local and National talent, and robust infrastructure from its sister station 680 The Fan.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales performance and exceeding revenue targets for the station. They will work closely with clients and agencies and ensure Xtra 1063 is a ‘must-buy’ for advertisers to reach and engage audiences via terrestrial radio, digital media, and community driven events. Coming to our state-of-the-art studios in The Battery daily is a must, as is traveling OFTEN to see prospects, leads, and clients.
Responsibilities include:

Achieve revenue and growth targets. Identify and execute strategies which result in exceeding said targets.

Identify and develop NEW business relationships with an emphasis on the station’s coverage area.

Develop and execute effective sales strategies that showcase the unique strengths and value of the station as well as maximize overall revenues for Dickey Broadcasting Company.

Foster open communication channels to ensure the value proposition of the station is properly communicated to potential revenue sources.

Develop and manage key client / advertiser relationships and evangelize the full suite of content and ad product offerings.

Remain current with competitors and the overall marketplace

Understand client’s needs, prepare sales plans, proposals and presentations.

Identify new business; develop new relationships with key marketing/media decision makers.

Identify go to market strategies for sponsorships

Identify and capture strategic high-value opportunities

Create differentiation in market to drive leadership

Deliver marketers a superior advertising experience that utilizes insights to drive business outcomes

Manage the sales process from proposal through post-analysis and renewal

Work effectively with team members throughout the portfolio; leverage relationships across the company to align client needs with all offerings
About you:

5+ years’ experience in advertising, media, and relevant sales positions. News Talk Radio experience a plus.

Holds an influential presence in advertising and media communities

Established relationships with key agency and client contacts within the market

Excellent communication skills, and ability to develop and present strategic updates to internal and external stakeholders
